Telecom Centres of Excellence India

TCOE India Sub-centres

Empowering Innovation and R&D Excellence Across India's Premier Academic Institutions

About TCOE India Sub-centres

In alignment with the Department of Telecommunications' vision to strengthen innovation and indigenous research in the telecom sector, TCOE India has established strategic sub-centres at leading academic and research institutions across the country. These centres of excellence serve as vibrant hubs of innovation, fostering cutting-edge research, enabling telecom startups, and advancing India's global leadership in telecommunications.

Strategic Vision: NTP-2025

Under the National Telecom Policy-2025. The establishment of 10 Sub-Centres will play a crucial role in promoting cutting-edge R&D, enabling startups, fostering collaboration among industry, academia, government, commercialization of emerging telecom technologies and advancing standards development for India’s global telecommunications leadership.

These sub-centres provide extensive geographical reach and specialized expertise across critical domains including 6G technologies, quantum communications, cybersecurity, integrated sensing, and policy research. Each centre contributes to national policy interventions while building local innovation ecosystems that support researchers, entrepreneurs, and students.
